Redsky, W

As reported in the Kenora Miner and News on 2 April 1919, the towns of Kenora and Keewatin held a large reception in the Tourist Hotel for returning veterans. On the list was W Redsky. His identity could not be confirmed but it is possible that it was either James or   Edward Redsky  

Harvey, Thomas Noel

Thomas Noel Harvey was born on 7 August 1899 at Fern Villas, Beddington Corner in Wallington in the registration district of Croydon, Surrey, England. His father Noel Augustine Harvey, a third generation floorcloth manufacturer, was from nearby Mitcham while his mother Elizabeth Margaret Hazell was from Wallington. Samuel Charles McGimsie was born on 4 August 1887 in Rat Portage (later renamed Kenora), Ontario. His father Samuel Charles McGimsie, contractor,  was born in Kingston, Frontenac, Ontario, the son of Scottish immigrants, and his mother Susan Charlotte George was born in Cobourg, Northumberland. Auguste Dieudonnais Metail was born on 24 September 1894 in Saint-Jeures, Haute-Loire, France. Lance Sergeant Thomas Saunders, MM, enlisted in December 1915 and served for three and a half years in Canada, the UK, France and Belgium. He was awarded the Military Medal in January 1918.
