Private Rupert William Schwitzer enlisted in May 1916, at age 18, and served in France with the 46th Battalion. He died of wounds in September 1918,  two months before the Armistice. Adams, F

The Lake of the Woods Milling Company in Keewatin, Ontario created a roll of honour after the war, commemorating the fallen as well as all that served. One of the fallen was listed as F Adams.    

Gagnon, Charles Joseph

Charles Joseph Gagnon, the  oldest of six sons of Joseph Gagnon and Victoria Madore, was born in Keewatin, Ontario on 19 November 1892. He was raised in Keewatin. Lance Corporal Albert Ernest Wright enlisted in December 1916 and served with the 44th Battalion in England, France and Belgium. He returned to Canada in June 1919. Kenny, F

As reported in the 2 April 1919 edition of the Kenora Miner and News, the towns of Kenora and Keewatin held a large reception for returning veterans at the Tourist Hotel in Kenora. On the list was F Kenny, identity unconfirmed. He was likely returning veteran Frank Kinney.    

Dawson, Arthur Ernest

Private Arthur Ernest Dawson signed up with an ambulance unit in April 1916 and served for eight months in France and Belgium. He was invalided home due to illness in October 1917.
