Claude Cleveland Baker was born on 29 June 1881 in Athol, Cumberland in Nova Scotia. Sprickling, Ernest

Along with a number of other fellows, the name Ernest Sprickling appeared in the 21 October 1914 edition of the Kenora Miner and News. The article stated that the volunteers had gone to Winnipeg to enlist in the war. Ernest’s identity and service could not be confirmed.  

Mulholland, William Robert

William Robert Mulholland was born on 11 May 1897 in the RM of South Norfolk, Manitoba where the family farmed. Lance Corporal Stewart Henry Lohman enlisted in December 1914 and served with the 52nd Battalion in France and Belgium. Algar Udolph Campbell was born on 2 February 1890 in Catthorpe, Leicestershire in England. His father Finlay Campbell, farm bailiff, was from Daviot, Inverness in Scotland while his mother Annie Thorton was from Libourne in Northamptonshire. The couple had married in 1882 in Catthorpe.
